When it comes to December babies, there’s a pretty good argument that could be made for saving the best for last. These last-month-born kiddos are little beacons of light, thought to be endowed with good fortune and good health. Here are a few facts about your December baby.

December babies’ horoscope sign is Sagittarius or Capricorn.

If your December baby is born before the 21st then they will be ruled by Sagittarius, which is represented by Archer who is half man, half beast or a centaur. Legend says that the Sagittarius never missed his target and therefore may be a hint at personality: a driven determination, plenty of wisdom, and boldness. If your baby is born after the 21st, then they will be a Capricorn, which is represented by the goat. Those born under this sign are notably well-mannered, good-natured, and highly disciplined. But watch out! Capricorns can also be know-it-alls.

December babies have two flowers.

Narcissus, or paperwhites, are one of the first flowers of spring and therefore represent rebirth and renewal. Victorians used to think of paperwhites as being the flower for egoists (they are named after Narcissus, after all).
