Your February baby’s birthstone is an amethyst.

Your February baby may be a shrinking violet.

…When it comes to their birth flower, at least. Though we tend to associate February with all things pink and red, February’s birth flower is the delicate violet—a symbol of virtue, modesty, and faithfulness. 

February babies’ horoscope sign is Aquarius or Pisces.

If your baby is born before February 19, they’ll be an Aquarius, a sign associated with intelligence, independence, and quirkiness. Aquarians are incredibly flexible, are team-players, and are passionate about making the world a better place. The downside? Aquarians can be rebels, which you might especially feel in the toddler years!

Babies born at the end of the month (February 19th or later), fall under Pisces, a sign represented by the fish and known for being kind, compassionate, and easygoing. They're often gifted in the arts and possess a well of empathy. Your February baby could be fame-bound.

One study found that more celebrities were born in Aquarius season than under other zodiac signs. Jennifer Aniston, Harry Styles, Michael B. According to one study, winter-born babies were longer at birth and taller by the time they turned 7 (the same study also found that winter babies scored higher on standardized tests!). However, you might want to take these results with a tiny grain of salt, as a different study found that February babies were shorter than summer-born babies.

February babies know how to keep their cool.

The weather outside isn’t the only thing that’s pretty chill! According to a European study, babies who make their debut in the winter are less irritable than people born in other seasons.

Your February baby might be artistically inclined.

One of the most common professions for February babies is artist, according to one British study that examined the link between birth month and career. Another job that’s high on the list for February babies? Traffic cop. 

Your February baby’s birthday could be extra special.

If your February baby is due at the end of the month, they might have a very special birthday. Leap Day (February 29) only rolls around once every four years, so there’s typically a 1/365 chance of being born on any given day, but there’s a 1/1461 chance of being born on Leap Day! (After 2024, the next leap year will be in 2028!)
