Joyce Lee, the head of design at coveted fashion brand Madewell, is one stylish mama. She’s one busy mama, too—chasing after her 3-year-old daughter, Poppy, and expecting a baby boy in January. She recently showed off her Brooklyn home to Mother Mag, including a bright, whimsical nursery that can’t help but make you smile.
"My husband and I both gravitate towards mid-century modern pieces, but like to keep the space warm, inviting, and cozy,” Joyce told Mother Mag.
So it’s no surprise she chose SNOO Smart Sleeper as the bed for her new baby.
SNOO’s inventor, Dr. Harvey Karp (The Happiest Baby on the Block, the 5 S’s) brought in rock-star industrial designer Yves Béhar to create the bed’s sleek, elegant form. It’s captured the attention of the design world, having recently won an International Design Excellence Award and exhibited in the Design Museum’s Beazley Designs of the Year show in London. “When we heard about the SNOO, we thought the concept sounded like a dream come true. But as design lovers, we also fell in love with the clean and simple design and choice of materials. It fits right in with the rest of our home,” Joyce told Happiest Baby.
SNOO can also help Joyce balance the demands of her high-powered job with parenting a newborn and a toddler. (That’s no joke!) SNOO adds 1+ hours of sleep using the sound and motion babies loved in the womb. And, it’s like having an “extra set of hands,” there to rock and shush the baby…any time…24/7!
While SNOO can’t make a mom’s life less busy, it can help make it more manageable!
