Unfortunately, that's a bigger question than I can go into here. But let me just ask, are you using white noise for all naps/nights? It is fine for babies to sleep in the swing, but they need to be belted in securely, have the seat fully reclined and kept away form dogs. You can see this demonstrated in the Happiest Baby DVD.
