“I chose to certify for the same reasons I chose to certify as a Doula..To some people certification is not necessary but I believe it brings a higher level of professionalism in the work that I do.
The certification gives me resources and a curriculum to teach. Dr Karp has specifics and there is a code of conduct we have to sign before we can teach a class.
Now I know for a lot of us it comes as second nature to nurture a child but you would be amazed at how many new mum’s and dads are literally at a loss as to what to do, so I am very happy to be able to offer Happiest Baby Classes to parent’s as a tool to use in their parenting.”

“The Happiest Baby opens the door for us, because we have something unique to give as certified educators – in depth, personalized teaching.”

“What I am finding as I complete my Happiest Baby Certification is that this method is not only extremely helpful to those mothers who have truly chronically fussy babies but to those that do not, it gives them the tools and the confidence to move through tough times if they occur.
Knowledge is power and the generations of learners I work with, in both affluent and inner city populations, need this type of empowerment. Happiest Baby information have been well received in the parenting and infant care classes I am involved with – where we teach a myriad of bonding techniques for those who have no clue, no models and who express fear of parenting newborns.”
Connie
“Some parents simply do not have the tools for parenting their babies, fussy or not. Unlike previous generations that raised our little ones with parents and grandparents close by, parents today are isolated and many do not have models for parenting to rely on. This is only one set of tools we can show parents.”
Brenda
“We are home visiting maternal child health nurses. We see moms prenatally as well as post partum. The Happiest Baby has become an invaluable tool in educating new parents how to soothe their fussy baby. This has helped us teach alternatives to over feeding, which is the common mistake that new parents do.
Thank you for producing such a wonderful educational tool for new parents. I wish I had had this information 18 years ago when I became a parent. Keep up the good work!!”

Why did I become an educator? To share this information, that you can’t get anywhere else, with as many parents as I can. We used the program with our son two years ago…and I feel very passionately about it. When I found out there was a certified educator program…I knew that was for me! I couldn’t wait to get certified so I could start changing the lives of parents! I love to teach The Happiest Baby, I love to see the look of relief and amazement on the parents’ faces is absolutely priceless…when I can calm their screaming newborn so quickly…and then the baby is so calm and peaceful and relaxed and quiet! It is a welcome relief for exhausted and overwhelmed parents and I love the bond that I form with the parents as well. It is such a heartwarming job and it makes me extremely happy to know that I am truly making a difference in someone’s life!

My mother told me that when I was born I screamed and cried for the first three months of life. The only way my Mother could calm me was to rock me over her knees. How I wish she had “The Happiest Baby on the Block” available to her as a young mother
My most frequent comment from parents I get is that “I wish we had seen this in the hospital.” Recently a Mom came home to recuperate after childbirth. She said, “The swaddle saved my life.”
Parents who watch the video in addition to my demonstration on a doll and on their newborn have the most success in calming their baby.

I had a mother speak to me about her son who always cries in the car (we recommended the “Super-Soothing” Sleep Sounds CD) she called the next day and it worked! She was in tears of relief that she can now take her son in the car!!!
